I'm getting really tired of hearing this. In 2016 you might have had a point, but then that was largely due to Hilary being such an abysmal candidate. She gutted the party to prevent a repeat of 2008 where a young go getter unseated her.
In 2020? Bernie lost by 30 points. You don't cheat your way to a 30 point lead. And the "Bernie Blackout" while real didn't work. 88% of Dems are aware of and support Medicare for All, Bernie's signature issue.
No, we've got polls and we know what happened. Turnout wa
Not yet anyway. If Trump wins, given what he's already doing with the post office...
We still have a functional independent media apparatus and legal system. Had the cheating been out in the open enough to allow 30 points Bernie could have called them on it and used it to win the day. Bernie's people sucked (and I say that as a Bernie Bro) but they don't suck _that_ much.
Bernie's only shot would have been to have done exactly what Trump did: Get to a contested election and threaten a 3rd party run. There's several reasons why that wasn't an option for Bernie:
1. Trump was/is no different than any of the other sell out GOP candidates, so the party apparatus didn't care if he won or not except in as much as they thought he'd lose.
2. Bernie can't make a credible threat because he cares for American too much, and Joe Biden will be a vastly superior President that Trump, saving tons of lives.
3. The Dem party just watched Trump pull the same trick, so they quickly fell behind Biden. Meanwhile it turns out Warren, while progressive, really, really wanted a women president. Seriously, go watch her comments when she dropped out, she was visibly broken up by the realization that it was unlikely there would be one in her lifetime, and it's likely that the reason Biden picked a women for his VP slot was a deal with Warren.
In short, Bernie had no path forward. The country is way, way more conservative (little 'c', as in "afraid of change") than the left wing likes to admit. The left, rather than facing that bitter reality & reassessing their tactics so they can win, is pulling a Hilary and blaming everyone but themselves.
It's a bold strategy Cotton, let's see if it pays off.
LOL, you believe the media is "independent" despite the continual, coordinated work with the DNC? Also, this logic is just fascinating:
> Bernie can't make a credible threat because he cares for American too much, and Joe Biden will be a vastly superior President that Trump, saving tons of lives.
So you're saying the support for Biden is because he doesn't "cares for American too much" (sic)?
I... actually believe you on that one, correcting for the typos, but I'm surprised to see anyone on the left admit
CNN, MSNBC & Fox News. Warren herself wasn't pissed she wouldn't be president, she was upset, heartbroken even, that there likely wouldn't be a women president in her lifetime. For all the talk about Biden dying in office with the kind of medical care he'll have access to he most likely won't. Trump survived multiple strokes (allegedly).
There are very precious few outfits I would consider independent on the left. Maybe The Intercept / Glen Greenwald, though he sure got himself into a mess with his gay partner in Brazil with allegations that they bought that seat and whatnot.
As for Warren... eh, you have a different read on that than I do. We'll have to disagree there.
If it wasn't for McCain, you might've had Palin as president though. I actually think his purpose was to sabotage her. It's amazing how much sexism the left was willing to

A 30 point lead is nothing, I hear that in China, Xi gets 100% of the vote.
